  • Interest in Human Rights particularly migrants' rights
  • Reliable and aligned with our core values
  • Able to commit to a few hours a week (evenings or weekends) for a minimum of 3 months

Fundraising Coordinator

ABOUT US

SEND US HOME KENYA is a network of volunteers and representatives of organisations with the experience of working with migrant workers. The network was born in August 18, 2020 out of deep concern over media reports about Kenyan migrant workers in Lebanon, who have recently found themselves unemployed and displaced following the COVID-19 pandemic and the August 4th explosions in Beirut. Our goal is to provide holistic support to affected Kenyan migrant workers including cash transfers and psychosocial support.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a volunteer with some fundraising experience to implement our fundraising strategy. The volunteer will contribute to the achievement of Send Us Home Kenya's goals by coordinating our fundraising initiatives and exploring different ways of increasing funding including writing grant proposals.

REQUIREMENTS

Fundraising experience

Experience of writing grant proposals (DESIRABLE)

External Partnerships coordinator

THE ROLE

We are looking for someone with experience in relationship building to help us build and develop partnerships with organisations in Kenya and countries of destination for migrant domestic workers such as Lebanon. Ideally these will be nonprofit organisations that work with marginalised communities that we can partner with to holistically support Migrant domestic workers in key areas such as psychosocial support, financial assistance, legal aid, training and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Finance Coordinator/Accountant

THE ROLE

We're looking to recruit someone with a Finance background to come on board and help us manage our finances. As our finance coordinator, you will be expected to use your expertise to lead on budgeting, income and expenditure reporting & accounts and attend our weekly team meeting (2 hours on Saturday). You will also be required to commit for a minimum of 3 months.
